INSTRUCTOR: Ralph Buie
The course examines the major non-Christian religions of the world as well as three predominate alternative religions. The class features a general introduction to the religion and explores the history, major figures, tenets, and sacred texts of the particular religion. The course endeavors to discuss similarities and differences between the non-Christian religions and Apostolic Pentecostalism with a view of discovering a possible bridge for evangelization. Prerequisites: NA.
Textbook: "Neighboring Faiths: A Christian Introduction to World Religions", 2nd Edition: Winfried Corduan
The instructor will provide pdf copies of portions of the text as reading assignments. The student may purchase the text; however, all pertinent portions of the text will be made available to the student.
