What is the difference between TBC, TBC Online, and ExCell?
How does TBC Online compare to similar leadership programs?
Is it possible to take classes online and on the main campus?
What programs do you offer?
I attended TBC when three-year diplomas were offered. Is it possible for me to take the remaining classes in order to get a four-year degree?
Do you accept ExCell credits?
I'm still in high school. Is it possible for me to take classes?
I do not live in Texas. Can I still attend TBC online?
Absolutely! The beauty of our online program is that it reaches into areas where our campus cannot go. We understand that there are often a variety of reasons students cannot attend Bible college -- namely, that their life circumstances will not allow them to pack up their lives and move to our campus in Lufkin. TBC Now Online was designed with these individuals in mind. Whether you live across the state, across the nation, or even across the world, we invite you to join us.
Is this program completely online? Does that mean I can do everything without visiting the main campus?
The answer to both questions is yes. All of your courses are online and you will be able to complete the program -- start to finish -- via digital means if that is what you choose. However, should you ever decide to attend courses on campus or via ExCeLL (our satellite campus program), your courses will transfer interchangeably between all three branches.
What is the difference between the Religious Studies Program and the Leadership Certificate Program?
In a nutshell, one is a certificate and the other is a degree. The Leadership Certificate is a series of three classes designed to help prepare men and women for leadership roles in ministry. At the end of the three classes, you will receive a certificate. Religious Studies is a degree program designed to provide students with an intensive study of both academic and practical theology. At the end of your program, you will receive an Associate's (60 hours) or Bachelor's degree (120 hours). Because the programs have different objectives and classes, we are not able to transfer Leadership Certificate courses to the Religious Studies program (and vice versa).
I need a copy of my transcript. Can you help me?
No problem. We can help you with transcripts of the work you have completed through TBC Now Online. However, if you are requesting a transcript for the courses you took on the TBC campus, please contact the TBC campus main office and they will be happy to help you.
How much does it cost to attend TBC Online?
It varies depending on the program of study you have selected. Each three-hour course in the Leadership Certificate is $175 (about $58.33 per credit hour). Each three-hour course in the Religious Studies Program is $350 (about $116.67 per credit hour).
Are there any scholarships available?
Not at this time. However, we understand that scholarships can make a huge difference to our students as they are deciding whether or not they can afford to come. With this in mind, we are working on setting up some financial aid options. We will post more information as it is available.
Are payment plans available?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer payment plans at this time. We are, however, looking into some options to help in this area.
