DOUG HOGSTEN, MDiv, MSMFT
Chaplain (MAJ) James D Hogsten was born in Mt. Clemons MI and raised in Flatwoods KY. He was awarded a BA in History from Lee University in 2000; earned an MDIV with an emphasis in counseling and Historical Theology from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary 2006 and completed his MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas A&M Central Texas. He is an ordained minister and endorsed military chaplain with the United Pentecostal Church International (Hazelwood, MO).
Chaplain Hogsten has been in full time ministry since 1988 and is married to the former Melissa Evans of Flatwoods KY: together they have 5 children—Aaron, Fayeth (28) Danielle (26), Jeremiyah and Jonathan (18) and three grandchildren (Elizabeth, Leah and Silas). They have a home in Copperas Cove TX and are actively involved in the Copperas Cove United Pentecostal Church. |
